Thinking about Rails? Think Again
wolfeon writes "In 2005, Derek Sivers of CD Baby wanted to scrap his site and perform a rewrite in Rails. He hired Jeremy Kemper, also known as bitsweat on Freenode, to help on the project. Two years later, through blood and sweat, the project was then canceled because of limitations of Rails. Rails just wasn't meant to do everything since it is very much "canned" project. Mr. Sivers has written an entry in the O'Reilly blog: 7 reasons I switched back to PHP."
I have a History BA with a CS minor. I am quite familiar with C/C++, VB/A, Perl, Bash shell scripting, awk/sed, numerous database software (mostly Access in my job but also mainly MySQL with PHP) and have experience (not daily) with various other languages.
While I was trying to be "+1 Funny" and don't expect Insightful or Informative mods, I am far more experienced in technical matters (mostly for my job that's GIS) than you make me seem to be by the limited postings of that nature on my website.
