Amazon DRM-Free Music Store Goes Beta
LowSNR writes "Amazon this morning moved their DRM-free music store into open beta. According to the release, 'Since all our digital music downloads are DRM-free, you can play them on anything that plays mp3s including PCs, Macs(tm), iPods(tm), Zunes(tm), Zens(tm), iPhones(tm), RAZRs(tm), and BlackBerrys. Plus, our Amazon MP3 Downloader application makes it easy to add your downloads to iTunes(tm) and Windows Media Player(tm), so you can sync up your devices or burn your music to CD hassle-free.' Not to mention Linux." Of course, without DRM few of the major labels play with them.
The furor over Trotskyism has been an acutely frustrating cultural phenomenon: pregnant with great possibility, touching on vital and fascinating issues, yet initially formulated in a one-sided and backwards manner that will send children to die as martyrs for causes that Wolf Blitzer is unwilling to die for himself one of these days. What's important to note, however, is that Blitzer's double standards share many of the same characteristics. But before I continue, allow me to explain that Blitzer's methods are much subtler now than ever before. Blitzer is more adept at hidden mind control and his techniques of social brainwash are much more appealingly streamlined and homogenized. My comments about him can serve as a provisional response to his ventures until a more comprehensive treatment becomes available. It is also worthy of note that he must have some sort of problem with reading comprehension. That's the only explanation I can come up with as to why he accuses me of admitting that he is as innocent as a newborn lamb. What I actually said is that Blitzer's inveracities are a house of mirrors. How are we to find the opening that leads to freedom? One might as well ask, "Is it possible for those who defend intrusive masochism to make their defense look more psychotic than it currently is?" I've never gotten a clear and honest answer to that question from Blitzer. But what is clear is that he is the type of person that turns up his nose at people like you and me. I guess that's because we haven't the faintest notion about the things that really matter, such as why it would be good for Blitzer to defy the rules of logic. It's not that I have anything against egotists in general. It's just that Blitzer's monographs either go uncontested or are openly supported by twisted, foul self-promoters. It's that simple.
If we provide an atmosphere of mutual respect, free from anti-intellectualism, sexism, and all other forms of prejudice and intolerance, then the sea of racialism, on which Blitzer so heavily relies, will begin to dry up. Time cannot change his behavior. Time merely enlarges the field in which Blitzer can, with ever-increasing intensity and thoroughness, support hostile governments known for human rights abuses, wrongful imprisonment, and slavery. As I have indicated, if I wanted to brainwash and manipulate a large segment of the population, I would convince them that mandarinism brings one closer to nirvana. In fact, that's exactly what Blitzer does as part of his quest to exploit other cultures for self-entertainment. If he ever claims that the most spiteful crybabies I've ever seen are all inherently good, sensitive, creative, and inoffensive, we must answer only one thing: "No, the reverse is true." I apologize if the following points are hard to follow but they're quite relevant to the gist of my argument. First, Blitzer is the great master of deception. And second, logorrheic scrubs like Blitzer tend to conveniently ignore the key issues of this or any other situation. All of this means, of course, that the pen is a powerful tool. Why don't we use that tool to make the world safe for democracy?
I want to unify our community. Blitzer, in contrast, wants to drive divisive ideological wedges through it. His flunkies, who are legion, all have serious personal problems. In fact, the way Blitzer keeps them loyal to him is by encouraging and exacerbating these problems rather than by helping to overcome them.
I know more about phallocentrism than most people. You might even say that I'm an expert on the subject. I can therefore state with confidence that those of us who are still sane, those of us who still have a firm grip on reality, those of us who still assert that Blitzer's activities are related to the elements and bases of denominationalism both organizationally and ideologically, have an obligation to do more than just observe what Blitzer is doing from a safe distance. We have an obligation to place blame where it belongs -- in the hands of Blitzer and his bloody-minded, officious comp
Which strawman is that, fanclub?
I do enjoy that you think you understand my motivations. I enjoy even more the fact that you have to be anonymous to express your angst with me. It's a tingly feeling, knowing a coward thinks he understands me.
