You're correct. That fact has been proven time and time again.
1) Catholic Church: extremely anti-homosexual, but we now find out that many of the male priests have a predilection for young boys.
2) Republican Party (United States): extremely anti-homosexual, but we now find some of the most outspoken representatives sucking cock in dirty airport washrooms. And that's probably just the tip of the iceberg!
3) High school jocks: extremely anti-homosexual, yet they smack each other's asses on the football field, shower naked together, and perform unusual homoerotic hazing rituals on one another (ie. group ejaculation onto a piece of bread, and the last person to ejaculate must eat it).
4) US military, where the high school jocks tend to go after high school: force male captives to perform homosexual acts upon one another, partake in the genital torture of Iraqi POWs, etc. (Abu-Ghraib).
Your theory seems pretty solid to me. Just from those four examples, we have indisputable proof that the most vitriolic homophobia is usually just a cover up for extreme cases of homosexuality.
