Hitachi Promises 4-TB Hard Drives By 2011

zhang1983 writes "Hitachi says its researchers have successfully shrunken read heads in hard drives to the range of 30-50 nanometers. This will pave the way for quadrupling today's storage limits to 4 terabytes for desktop computers and 1 terabyte on laptops in 2011."     Heh. For every movie you buy I download two. The problem is I'd like to actively hurt the MAFIAA, but can't think of a way yet apart from encouraging others to download/copy.
