I think I get your point, but....

    *rant on!*
Baseball is not boring? Watching baseball is as exciting as astronomers watching Earth's seasons change! WTF?!?!?
It's like watching concrete set! Like watching Pro Golf!?!?!?

Watching baseball, football. basketball. and golf are NO different than watching concrete set up, except for the flash of the visually stimulating uniforms involved. (which involve the cheerleader's skimpy outfits, anything else is homo erotic, but if that's your 'cup of tea'!)

If you are TRULY into sports, then get out on the field and PLAY THEM, otherwise it is just another subsidized reality show. Jack-off as you will, but that does not change the fact that you are investing your time, electricity, bandwidth, and fantasies to watching someone else do what you wish you still ( or never) could do.

None of you 'sports watching' fanatics are any different from the asshats that would show up eager and rabid for the Roman Games....no balls enough to put your own ass on the line...just masturbating voyeurs...same as now.

If you self-proclaimed 'enthusiasts' would let go of you're peckers and 'play' in the real world, this whacked perception of the importance of televised 'sports' would settle out into reasonable levels.

It has reached the point that in a lot of jr. high's, that budget money is allocated to the 'stadium' or Sports dept. equipment, and channeled away from educational programs.

At the same time, we (public perception) are getting feedback on how fucked up our educational systems are operating...WTF:?...is the ONLY WAY TO SUCCESS is INVOKING SPORTS?!!! What happened to a rounded education, critical thinking, applying one's self to the rest of the world.

Playing and watching modern 'sports' is nothing more than an escapist mentality/viewpoint for the incapable or nutless wonders in society now days.

Think I'm joking or flaming? Then prove me wrong and get out on your chosen field and get with it! Otherwise, STFU and crawl back into your hole.

I like most Steven Seagal movies because he is really good at his martial art's form, He is a master at his form, and as a student I pay attention. Venerate him? Hell, NO! As an actor he leaves a lot to be desired, but as a martial artist, he is at the top of his heap in that field.

I quit paying attention to televised sports when Vince left Greenbay and went to Wash. DC, then Francis Tarkenton retired. I've not seen anything since to mitigate this shite to enable me to take it seriously since then. That's when it started to become a money-making industry, and no longer "sports" in regards to professional football.

Again, I think I got your point, but forgive(or debate) my discourse!

I still practice Aikido, Kendo, and Kenjitsu...but not middle-linebacker(In high school, I LOVED THIS SHIT WHEN I WAS PLAYING!!!)\

GET A LIFE, AND LIVE IT!

    *rant over*
Damn!, I feel better having said that!

Multitude of fscked-up scenario's to deal with, and so little time!

I hope you understand that I only used your post as a virtual springboard to launch my rant- I think You are on the money!
