Gen Y Tech Savvy, But Not Interested in a Career

...people keeping these systems running and designing new ones... People that keep the systems running fall into the IT category, people that design new systems (I'm talking hardware specifically, but i'll concede software too for original IP) are engineers. And no, putting a bunch of commercial-off-the-shelf parts together does not constitute "designing a new system"You know, Custer had a plan.
