Wowzer writes "Early leaks have revealed the complete 74 numbers set list in Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock . Developer Neversoft had hoped to keep the last remaining 14 songs a secret until the American launch of the game on October 28th for PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. From the article: 'Tier 1 - Slow Ride (Foghat), Talk Dirty to Me (Poison), Hit Me with Your Best Shot (Pat Benetar), Story of My Life (Social Distortion), Rock and Roll All Nite (Kiss), Sabotage (Beastie Boys). Tier 2 - Mississippi Queen (Mountain), School's Out (Alice Cooper), Sunshine of Your Love (Cream), Barracuda (Heart), Tom Morello's Original Boss Battle Recording, Bulls on Parade (Rage Against The Machine), Reptillia (The Strokes).'"

    Third outing on a "guitar rock gods" package, and still no John Petrucci, wtf? Not buying it until they give me some Metropolis action.

    I'm not sure why it's only Anonymous Cowards who are pointing this out, but it's an important point that should be seen by everyone. Harmonix didn't invent the rhythm genre. Harmonix didn't even invent the hold-one-or-more-neck-buttons-while-strumming-the-bidirectional-lever guitar rhythm genre. Konami released the first version of Guitar Freaks in 1998.

    You know you can play the Bass part in Guitar Hero, right? Some of the songs in GH2 had much more interesting bass parts as well... John the Fisherman, War Pigs, etc.

    I agree that it's funny to point out the inclusion of such songs in "guitar" hero games, but it's not quite as silly as you might think if you hadn't played it.
