MacBook Air's Battery is Actually Easy to Replace
pizzach noted that the MacBook Air battery is actually fairly easy to replace.
"All it requires is a philips screwdriver. Unlike some of Apple's other products, the battery is not so soldered in which should make a lot of people at least a little bit happier." I think I'll have to wait for something with a bigger screen and a faster clock speed.
I've developed a three and a half inch portable. IN MY PANTS.

Get off your fanboy horse. Sony invented the 3.5" diskette, people wanted a smaller safer diskette. The 3.5" hit the button, 5.25" diskettes were dead as soon as the alternative was available. Anyone using 5.25" dumped them as soon as another option was available. I recall Apricot being 3.5" only, well before apple even supported them, and then you'd need a special apple cable because apple loves to change standards just enough to make the existing generic options unusable.
Apple didn't like USB initially. You forget peripheral manufacturers had their wares on shelves long before Jobs changed products so you sheeple can get into another complete replacement cycle.
People went to CDs and then DVDs because diskettes were woefully inadequate for cheap storage means. Most blank DVDs are used for pirating, whether it be TV shows, DVD isos, games et al.
All you wanking toss-festing isn't Job, it's real people wanting something better as they out grow the existing solutions. If apple were so great, the world would be using apple machines instead of generic PCs. Microsoft still rule the world, despite everyone known how poor their products are. Why? The vast majority of the world doesn't give a shit about apple products. Burned once, twice shy no doubt.
I don't want to finger point on just you here. This is a general comment.
Replace all of the OSX and Apple related words with say the company Microsoft and Windows. If these limitations were in Microsoft or Windows people would cry bloody murder...
YET, on an Apple its OK because well the master of the universe Steve Jobs has determined that what he wants is what humanity needs! Give me a freaken break!

Where are you using your computer for that long that you're not near an outlet once in a while? I typically need stretches of several hours, possibly as much as 4 hours from time to time, but never much more than that.
