Paypal Advises Users To Stop Using Safari

eldavojohn writes "Over concerns for lack of an anti-phishing mechanism for Safari, Paypal is telling its Mac users to use another browser. An author from Ars Technica reveals that he has been using Camino and has fallen victim to a Paypal related phishing scam via e-mail so this story must hit home for him. 'Currently the Apple browser does not alert users to sites that could be phishing for your info, and it lacks support for Extended Validation. PayPal is, of course, a popular site among phishers in their neverending search for personal information, user IDs, and passwords. While it's not entirely fair singling out Safari (other Mac browsers like Camino also lack this support), it is perhaps at least a helpful reminder of the threat.'"

I bet you love pulling that anecdote out. You actually sound like Eric Cartman, BTW.

"Are you a cripple? What? What'd I say?"

In case you really do need it explained, your maths professor was describing himself. When describing yourself, feel free to call yourself whatever you want.

Next, he was talking to a class of college students and maybe he was hoping to open your eyes to the use of language and descriptors, while challenging your preconceptions. By using himself as an example. I'm guessing he didn't throw "are you a cripple?" around if someone couldn't do something

Next, not many people are actually cripples, so to call someone that (and you did call him that, even if you try to hide behind the "I was only asking a question" defense; see "Are you still beating your wife" for further information) when there's a 99% chance they aren't, is an insult.

If you don't understand this, you are being deliberately obtuse, and a jerk.

    Grow up.

    Signed,
Someone who doesn't like us Mac users being generally and erroneously labelled insensitive jerks, but who likes Mac-using insensitive jerks even less.

And the little buttons are small, compared to modern screen sizes. I've been using Macs since System 7 on an LC III, so I'm not exactly a n00b.

FWIW, I'm not the parent, or grandparent of your comment.
