3G iPhone Going Into Production In May

A few folks noted the rumor mill churning over 3G iPhones coming soon. Apparently they might be going into production as early as May, and announced somewhere in the 2nd quarter. Hopefully they manage to stick a GPS and another 16 gigs of memory in this one.

      Perhaps you don't mean it in that way, but your comment is very prejudicial against gay nerds. While it might be funny to poke fun at nerd culture by saying that they never leave their basement and never had sex with real girls, there are actually homosexual nerds who would be interested in the latest Apple iPhone.

      Just because this news doesn't fit into your worldview of "nerd culture", it doesn't mean that there aren't different aspects of nerd culture that aren't just as valid as your little slice of nerddom.

    stereo Bluetooth /and/ standard 3.5mm jack
    Camera (at least 5MP)
    Mini4 USB2.0 w/MSD capability
    extended capacity battery or the ability to plug-in portable power (Power Monkey via usb?)
    voice recording
    DAB radio, or at the very least, FM
    Expandable memory via microSD

    Why the original iphone didn't get all these features I'll never know, and if the next gen doesn't get it I'll not bother; I'll be sticking with my Sagem My401c.

      That's the funny thing about phone calls... you can be sitting there listening to music on your iPhone, but if your sister calls to tell you to get your ass down to the hospital because your dad just had a heart attack, she's not going to know that you're in your "I'm using my phone as an MP3 player and ignoring all phone calls" time.

      You don't get to plan when you're going to take a call, they just happen, and if you're listening to music ON YOUR PHONE, you should be able to TAKE CALLS as they come in. That's why you have a phone. To make & get calls. That should be the first and foremost thing you can do with your phone, at any moment, regardless of what you're doing with it at any instant. Because everything else is of lower importance. Because it's a PHONE.

    A great example of Apple rabid reality-bending Apple fanboism. Thousands and thosands of customers have been _literally _ lobotomized by nothing other than the shiny industrial design, just like they have by Paris Hilton! If Apple weren't evil, they'd already have a Paris-blocker, but they've sold out their customers for greed and fame. Even if they didn't want to do it themselves, the least they could do is open the Iphon -- truly open iPhone would already have a Paris Hilton news-blocker! Did you know it can't even make calls without ATT! LOL Appletarsd!1!!!
