US To Employ Overhead Spying Domestically

DigitAl56K writes "The Washington Post reports that 'The Bush administration said yesterday that it plans to start using the nation's most advanced spy technology for domestic purposes soon' and that Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff has said that 'Sophisticated overhead sensor data will be used for law enforcement.' Initially, it appears that the administration plans to leverage conventional satellites for domestic surveillance purposes. Congress last October delayed launch of the DHS office that would coordinate law-enforcement requests for satellite and other technical data, and demanded answers to legal questions about the program. The administration supplied answers that some Congress members characterized as inadequate and appears determined to go ahead anyway."

I would like to know what you are doing that you are so concerned about the police looking at your "secret" e-mail out in the open. Is it a secret message from your lover; WOW the cops want to spend million of dollars to find out who you are "doing". Or maybe its a secret e-mail from a terrorist group telling you were to plant the next bomb. Something I think I want them to know, and will pay them to keep you under watch 24hrs, even in your bathroom taking a shit. Now if you don't fall in any of these categories, but might be a father and had your teenage daughter abducted by some pervert you would want the police to use anything in the world to find your daughter including UAV, satellite, dogs, cats whatever it takes to get your daughter back. The point here is the police, homeland security or any other government agency dosen't cares who you are "porkimg" and how you are doing it, just don't do illegal things, you know like, dope dealing, terrorist activities. I like the idea of putting chips in parolees so that they can be monitored via satellite on a 24hr basis something I bet just galls you to no end. Here is a note to you and others like you. Is my opinion YOU have no right to commit criminal acts and the police or any other agency dealing with law enforcement or gathering of intelligence should use every means to prevent,stop or capture any person who does criminal acts, which includes plotting and planning acts of terror.

Actually our govt (the US govt) can only do what we give them the permission to do. You don't like it, write your congressman and/or senator. Be vocal, or we can just bitch and complain. Our choice.
