Tom Clancy: Endwar to Change the Face of Console RTS?

Ubisoft's Julian Geright is apparently quite confident in the power of the next installment of the Tom Clancy series with Tom Clancy: Endwar . Designed specifically for the PS3 and Xbox 360, Geright hopes that this is a breakthrough for console RTS play similar to Goldeneye's FPS breakout. "This is the first game of its type and I don't think that games on console will be made the same after Endwar, [...] It's kind of boastful, but I really do think that this is a watershed type of game."

Ultimately, both the FPS and RTS genre are undoubtedly better on the PC. Why? The mouse is a superior controller in any of those genres. Plain simple. Someone seems a bit butthurt that they get owned constantly on console FPS by people half their age. Seriously, I've never seen any real reason why people constantly whine about FPS games on console other than the fact that they suck at them.

Because the controllers suck. If a console FPS were anywhere near as easy to play as a PC FPS, you could network them together, and console players would have a fair chance against PC players. It's been done, it's not a fair fight.

You may have a point that younger players are better at using their crappy controllers than us older folks, but given the choice of controllers, keyboard will beat gamepad every time.

your noting of the titles and last names of those characters is upsetting. ghostbusters pretty much sucked and does not deserve that level of geek adulation.

to conclude, first names would have done just fine ;0)
