Blizzard Announces Diablo 3

stpk4 writes "After a week-long tease by Blizzard, Diablo 3 has just been announced in Paris. The splash screen has been updated at their homepage and The Escapist has the first write-up." While there aren't many details available yet, it is known that Deckard Cain returns to help our heroes yet again.

OK, so we know there's gonna be a mac version... but... there's still one very important question. WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY IT ON MY MACBOOK PRO? (cause if not... I'm gonna cry for weeks)

Hell Gate

Well actually, Hell Gate was the "unofficial" Diablo 3. Basically, it was a FPS that takes place in the future where magic meets technologies and the combination thereof. An awsome concept, except EA botched the whole development. Anyone who's played it will tell you how bad the performance is, level detail feels redundant, and over all "alpha-ish". Sad too, because I really wanted to like this game.

If someone came out with a development IDE similar to Visual Studio (circa 2002) that handled python, javascript, and HTML, I would lay down some cash.

You don't even need to lay out the cash. Go try out Kdevelop, and file bugs. KDE 4.1 is around the corner, and they are seriously fixing bugs like crazy. I filed probably 20 in the past week, and five or so are already closed. Now's the time.
