Spammers Choose GMail

EdwardLAN writes "A study by Roaring Penguin has discovered that during the past three weeks, the amount of spam originating from Gmail has risen sharply." My spam has been pretty ridiculously high for the last few weeks, although I have no idea if this is part of it. It really does seem like gmail's spam filters are declining these days.

twitter, please reply to dedazo's comment, I'd love to see your response to that. The stuff you posted was nothing more than a long segue to the usual "M$ sux" mantra you enjoy so much, but the reality is that you are offtopic *and* incorrect to boot.

You're one of those idiots who think that Windows is safe without antivirus software (NOT INCLUDED WITH THE OS).

Face it. Antivirus, antispyware, Antiphishing, and so on are required components of Windows AND ARE NOT INCLUDED with the Windows OS.

Microsoft should issue coupons to their coerced customers to purchase required anti-malware products.

That's typical of you. You never get around to explaining why Mac users never have the same problems. I'll keep believing studies done by experts about Windows problems, their methodolgy is transparent and their arguments are reasonable. If you install a shiny new copy of XP with SP2, your time to be owned is 4 minutes. It takes much longer than that to download patches to fix the problems that time to own studies find on the network. Even if you had a CD with all of the patches, obtained using another OS, you only have till next patch tuesday before the probes change and get you. These things have not changed over the last ten years and they won't. Spam is a Windows problem.
