Onion News Network is now considered a reliable news source? Keep this crap on idle.

"Entertainment" is for real news regarding games, music, movies, books, and other entertainment-related subjects. Idle is for crap like this.

I've never found the Onion to be funny. I've known people who couldn't describe stories on there without practically breaking down in tears from laughing so hard.
But for me, it's never been more than an "Oh, that's cute" sort of reaction.

It's weird how humour can be so subjective.

So let's list the problems here. * No submitter - so we have no one to blame. * Duplicate article - the launch was already well covered earlier in the week. * Offensive - oppressive communist governments = lulz for som, but not for me, apparently. This should be under Idle, since it's not really all that clever.

They put irrelevant and wrong words in peoples mouths all of the time. Did you really think cheney said "bring it" before an explosive game of street rules basketball? The only difference was they used stock footage of Zhai Zhigang, the actual astronaut who walked in space and translated it to their own end. It was as much of a parody of the current state of newsreporting as it was a parody of Chinese government.
There was nothing far reaching or out of bounds about any of this. You seem to have said that you had no problenms with poking fun at things you don't like but are hurt and offended when someone pokes fun at things you identify with. What does that say about you?
