DIY iPhone-Controlled R/C Car
An anonymous reader writes "NerdKits has an example of their latest project, an iPhone-controlled R/C car running around Boston and MIT. Technical details, build-it-yourself instructions, and a video of the car in action are all included."
Does the car have a camera on it? I want to be able to see where the car is going without having to be in sight of it.
One of our competitors trademarked the term "hypothesis". From now on, we will call them "boneheaded ideas".
I want an iPod that send command to an RC vehicle so it follows me. I suspect it could be done using the Nike inputs.
The Kruger Dunning explains most post on
I distinctly remember a port of psdoom that was used to control an RC car by converting webcam captures to a unique BSP tree build for the imagery.
Well, this port somewhat has suceeded as the tool for all the remote. control. needs.
PS: is slashdot admin giving us subliminal messages through the anonymous posting keys? does the taco matrix have me yet or can I continue with the bliss without warrants?
So what you want is a RL W0W Pet? I'd rather a green helper!
How much is your data worth? Back it up now.
T-Mobile used to sell bluetooth enabled mini-rc cars.
You could steer it (AFAIK) from any bluetooth phone, but it would only charge off a Sony-Ericsson phone

Here's an off-the-shelf cell phone controller for BMWs from 1997. Unfortunately, the test driver totaled the only prototype they had, so the company had to switch back to pimping Aston Martins.
