Then engineers found out that it might vibrate like a giant tuning fork, shaking its crew to death. Are you illiterate? Why do you use 'where' in place of 'were'? Is this some meme I'm not getting? At the most simple level 'where' refers to a place while 'were' refers to the past (if... going to...).
