Bill Joy For New National CTO Post?

jddeluxe writes "In an article in today's NY Times, John Doerr of Kleiner-Perkins proffered up Bill Joy's name when queried by Barack Obama for a recommendation for the position of Chief Technology Officer of the Unites States which Obama has promised to create and that the country is overdue to have. I think that's a brilliant idea, and while you're at it, have the FCC report to him as well, why don't you?" If Bill is unavailable, I'll throw my hat in the ring, although I'm holding out for Secretary of Tubes.

John McCain should have won the election. He was defeated by the racist voting pattern of the African-American community. Look at the CNN statistics.

95% of African-Americans voted for Obama.

If African-Americans did not vote on the basis of race, their percentage of support for Obama would have been 66%, at most. Asian and Hispanic support for Obama hovered around 64%. Neither Asians nor Hispanics used skin color in choosing a candidate. If 66% of African-Americans supported Obama, then McCain would have received 49.6% of the popular vote, and Obama would have received 48.4% of the popular vote. In other words, Obama would have lost.

Anti-white racism in the African-American community is ugly.

      Ok - you're offtopic, but I'll bite.

What African-American wouldn't vote for Obama?

There are two good reasons -

      a) to see a brother in the White House, and

      b) to stick it to the Man.

It's not anti-white, it's pro-black, and I feel sorry for you sad little whingers.

You lost - get over it, and concentrate on important things like regaining control over your own Constitution after the last 8 years of perversion.

It didn't start with securing loans to low (no) income people. That was a contributing factor but probably not the major one. There were a lot of factors including good ol middle class Americans flipping houses, buying second houses, refinancing their mortgages to take equity out of their properties.

Greenspan turning on the flood gates and deregulation had a much bigger impact.

Fredie Mac, Fannie Mae and the *Federal* Reserve are government backed, held up by the government. The exact opposite of a free market.

I love the propaganda, though. "Those evil corporate CEOs, screwing the poor and getting rich by ... uh... loaning poor people money they can't pay back. Um... They just keep giving money away to make themselves rich."

Clue: It only works when the corporate CEOs know the government will bail them out.
