Indonesians Want To Microchip AIDS Patients
Lawmakers in Papua, Indonesia have thrown their support behind a bill requiring some HIV/AIDS patients to be implanted with microchips in order to better monitor the disease. In addition, legislator John Manangsang said by implanting chips in "sexually aggressive" patients, authorities would be in a better position to identify, track and punish those who deliberately infect others. Health workers and rights activists sharply criticized the plan. It would make the dating scene a lot less scary if you could carry your AIDS chip reader into the club.
What about Castrating any sexual offender with AIDS. In fact, castrate ANY sexual offender. If they cant have sex, much lower chance of infecting someone.
I was saying years ago that, after rigorous testing and retesting of a patient to almost completely remove the risk of a false positive, AIDS and HIV carriers all over the world should have it tattooed on the back of their right hand; and make it a felony to obscure it with other tattoos or remove it without a court order and a certified test to say you're clean. The only way to completely eradicate a disease is prevent transmission. I know it violates human rights, and would probably alienate people in completely unrelated contexts (such as a job interview), and the RFID tag is probably a better idea in this regard, but who is going to screen all their dates with an RFID scanner, and who's going to put up with the insult of being scanned when they're clean? I know, I know, AIDS sufferers are people too, but we have to stop the transmission of the disease, and I'm pretty sure all but the most vindictive don't want anyone else to suffer from it.
