Financial Crisis Soundtrack

German musician Johannes Kreidler made a soundtrack of the global economic crisis composed by running financial graphs through SongSmith. It gets political in a few spots, but is bleakly funny.

    Wasn't this a minor sub-plot in a Douglas Adams novel? A program that would write corporate theme tunes based on their financial results?

      Yes, the software was named "Anthem". If you wander to Google Book Search, you can find the initial description of it on page 29: "if you wanted your company accounts represented as a piece of music, it could do that as well...it produced lots of cheery company anthems".
