OpenDNS To Block and Monitor Conficker Worm
Linker3000 writes "According to The Register, OpenDNS plans to introduce an new service that will prevent PCs infected with the Conficker (aka Downadup) malware from contacting its control servers, and will also make it easy for admins to know if even a single machine under their control has been infected by Conficker: 'Starting Monday, any networks with PCs that try to connect to the Conficker addresses will be flagged on an admin's private statistics page. The service is available for free to both businesses and home users.' With the amount of trouble this worm has caused, perhaps this is a good time to take a look at OpenDNS if you haven't done so already."

Really mods, this wasn't very funny to begin with, but even for things that really are amusing, the amusement wears off after the first several hundred retellings or the first few years, whichever comes first. There's no need to keep modding these up. Ok, so I gave a relatively polite (at least not rude) critique of your moderation decisions, you can make me -1 Flamebait now.

The reaction wasn't over a joke. It was over an old joke that was never funny that is nonetheless promoted as "Funny". If I am wearing a red shirt and I tell you it's a blue shirt, and you disagree with that, are you reacting like a child or are you rejecting something that's obviously false?
Everything you don't like isn't childish or angry, not unless you're a rather arrogant individual. That's what arrogant people do, you know. They don't recognize that there is such a thing as a matter of taste, so everything that doesn't appeal to them is somehow evil or terrible or flawed and you're bad or childish or need therapy if you disagree. Let me guess, you don't see yourself doing that, do you?
I'll take one further guess. You yourself would not have said what I said unless you were angry. Therefore you have 100% proven beyond all doubt that I must have been angry. Because everyone is like you or should be like you. Right? After all, no one can ever use sarcasm or irony without being upset, just because you can't do that without being upset, right? Nevermind, you'll probably think I'm angry beyond belief because I'm pointing out how absurd you're acting. I'm sure you'll say "haha I trolled you good" or similar in order to save face and avoid responding to what I am telling you. When you get over yourself and stop applying your personal tastes and your pesonal motivations to everyone else, you'll be a lot happier. You'll also understand that what I said was tongue-in-cheek and you may even smile when you read it. Wouldn't that be absurd? Now go antagonize someone who's foolish enough to care whether you approve of them.
