Dutch City Fears Loss of Pornography Archive

The Dutch city of Leeuwarden has lost the municipal pornography archive and officials fear it may be gone forever. A spokesman for the city said the collection may have been taken home "accidentally" by an employee or visitor. "We're hoping that someone will say 'Hey, I have that in my attic' and bring it back," he said Thursday. "No questions asked." Leeuwarden shouldn't be too upset. I've found it a good practice to get rid of your porn archive and rebuild every 6 months or so.

    In my day, this was referred to as "that stack of skin mags on the coffee table". Now it's called "a municipal pornography archive"?
    Krikke said the bulk of the archive had been assembled by a "fanatic" curator at the historical center.
    I don't know why, but for some reason the phrase "too much time on his hands" comes to mind...

    As a resident of The Netherlands, I have to remark that it can't have been that good if it's taken 30+ years to go missing.
