Apple's Mac OS X Update Breaks Perl
mir writes "It looks like if you use CPAN to install modules, Apple's latest security update might just have broken your Perl. According to Tatsuhiko Miyagawa 'The Security Update brings (old) IO.bundle with version 1.22 but your IO.pm has been updated to the latest 1.23 on CPAN shell. (But hey, 1.23 was released in 2006...Why do you bring that ancient version back, Apple!?)'."
I believe they believe Perl is dead...do they?
OS-X- is supposed to be BSD, but it isn't.
Why not Just use BSD ? and not OS-X?
Is Perl broken in BSD?
The way we see it here, OS-X is for people who are not smart enough figure out how to partition a hard disk to use Linux,
This inability costs them upwards of US $ 1500.00 to start .
Had they learned how to read or take a computer science course, they might be using Linux.
These same people also believe that OS-X is safer than Linux. The Jokes on them, it is Linux! Even Windoze can be safer, yet computer inept people run as owner/ administrator and put themselves at risk . Go figure !
