    Any time I'm on a Windows computer, it's not mine. . .

    Well, I'm sure they would love having cygwin, whoever they are! ;)

    Attempting to run a .deb manually will still incur plenty of dependancy errors that require you to hunt down the individual packages.

    This is what GDebi is for.
