Hot Grits Assault, Natalie Portman Remains Wary

44-year-old Carolyn Brown took some marriage advice from the trolls and poured hot grits on her boyfriend. The two had spent the day arguing about various things. Should they break up? Which was better, Emacs or Vi? Authorities arrested Mrs. Brown and have alerted a zombie-fighting Natalie Portman of a possible petrification attempt.

Really, why do we find associating hot grits with Natalie Portman so funny here on /.?

I mean, the first few times I saw the meme, I sniggered a little bit at the thought of torturing Hollywood's unhealthy, skinny female role models, but now I just feel bad.

So come on /., what is it with Natalie Portman and the hot grit?? Somebody could at least post the original reference perhaps? Is it like the Tubgirl where there's some iconic history behind it? Natalie's mother woke her up with hot grit? What???
