iPhone 4 Rumors Rumble

padraic_93 writes "Information has become available which reveals development is underway for the new iPhone 4, as well as suggestions of features and Apple's plans for the phone. A report on PinchMedia, which made repeated use of the term 'iPhone 4,' was cited on the website MacRumors, though the website admitted that such reports can often be forged. The report also made allusions to a 'Corporate Event' planned for June 28th — July 2nd 2010, which have been taken as referring to the next WWDC." A related rumor holds that Apple has ordered 40-45 million 5-megapixel cameras, which might hint at new functionality.

That is a good enough reason, maybe they should also ship an iphone without call making capabilities because bandwidth and coverage isn't good enough for that either. Most are not on AT&T's network, why hold back features just because of one mobile provider's inability to keep up to on their network? I can't contest your points about hardware and battery unless the device was made bigger.

Dude, seriously, get a fucking life. There is a huge gradient between love and hate and because you are an Apple fanboi, it doesn't mean that everyone, who aren't interested in every single fart of Steve Jobs, hate Apple.

And parent is right that Slashdot has become some kind of Apple rumour site because apparently a day without an Apple rumour is a lost day for Slashdot. Yes, Apple is a technology company, along with millions of others. But Apple makes only a dozen technical products. If you are truly interested in technology companies, why aren't you asking for product rumours of Panasonic, JVC, Infineon, Philips and over 9000 more?

Not willing to? Then stop pretending that it is about technology and admit that you just loud-mouthed fanboi.

    The iPhone is popular

The factual market figures show that Nokia, LG, Samsung, Motorola and RIM are at least as popular. So I'm afraid you need to "get over it".

And tweaking prefs doesn't help with the Iphone Slashvertisements that creep into the mobile section too.

Yeah, this is why we have a front page news story for every other technology, for every of their technology products, when there's a rumour that they might have a newer version at some point in the future, possibly.

Oh wait, we don't, unless it's for amusement value - the Iphone is the new Duke Nukem Forever.

I mean, nevermind all the far more popular companies in the phone market, if we really applied your standard of newsworthiness for every kind of techology, it would be flooded. It would, well in your own words, be completely insane.
