According to Janet Napolitano, "the system worked". The system she is referring to is the one that let a muslim extremist (in the words of his father, who reported him to the FBI) board a plane with no passport but an explosive device. The system is the one which put him on a terrorist watch list but not a no-fly list. The system is one where the only thing that prevented 300 dead passengers was an ignitor that didn't work. And if the plane had blown up, what's the chance it would have been correctly identified as a terrorist attack? The system is fucking broken.
