Scambaiting Gets Comical; Internet Scammers All Dressed Up

Nurse Nasty writes "Scambaiting is a fun and relaxing full-contact email sport. It's all about baiting Internet and email scammers into exposing themselves and sharing that humiliation with the entire world. Recently I baited four different groups of Internet scammers into being comic book action super-heroes, and then giving them their own 10-page graphic novel. These people need to be severely beaten up... This is juvenile, pathetic and offensive on the most basic level. What kind of a person would do something like this? Yeah, the Nigerian scams are bad, but this is an order of magnitude worse. It makes me want to vomit.

On a more informative sidenote, the scammers have learned to use online translators, and if your email is on a country TLD, you might receive a machine-translated email. I recently got one from someone who portrayed themselves to be a bank employee from London. They even attached a photoshopped (well, more like MS-painted) ID card.

Humiliating people is still humiliating people, one way or another. It doesn't matter if you do it to the world's greatest thief, killer or dictator, or to an employee of the big Nigerian scam boss (what, do you really think the dressed-up protagonists of the lame comic are the actual scammers?).

I know of people that go around town and take pictures of impoverished and mentally challenged individuals and then post them to a website to make fun of. That really isn't far from what the sad, pathetic forum griefer had done.
