Futuristic Sex Robots Now Just "Sex Robots"
High-C writes "With apologies to Futuristic Sex Robotz, the future is here, and her name is Roxxxy. Truecompanion.com has revealed their answer to the Real Doll, and it looks nice. The site is short on details, pictures, pricing info, but wow." NOTE: some of the above links are not work-safe, for many values of work. I stopped by this exhibit today at the AVN Expo (not officially a part of CES, but by curious coincidence scheduled to coincide; the old saw that porn drives tech isn't without merit). Roxxxy, though, was rather unsexily posed on a couch, not moving a bit — downright creepy, in fact.
You know the rules. No girls on the internet, pics or it didn't happen, tits or GTFO, et cetera.
Sad part is that the dolls probably carry on more interesting conversation than most real Females do, even without accounting for individual taste.
LMAO... & this? THIS "strikes home" for me, personally... why? OK:
I have returned to academia recently (after a LONG absence, to go after another degree & to "up my skills"/make them more current (JAVA mainly)).
While there last semester, & have met a slew of INCREDIBLY talented young folks (2 of which graduated from my former highschool alma mater, albeit 2 decades after I had, who did EXTREMELY well in the USA national highschool robotics competition in fact (Mike & Ken? You KNOW who you are, if you read this)).
I told Mike C. (last name withheld, because I didn't ask his permission to post this here):
"Hey, from what I understand, 'fellow alumnus' you did GREAT in the highschool robotics championship. That said, when you make that FIRST "robotic woman"? Remember Me, for 'Quality Control purposes & beta testing'"
(Because, after all, as we ALL know? QUALITY CONTROL IS VERY IMPORTANT... lmao!)

(Personally? I'd rather see this happen, than "TERMINATORS"...)
As an aside note:
I am INCREDIBLY impressed with today's "future computer scientists" - they are a HELL of a lot stronger/better than even the best I ever met in my first forays into this art & science (spanning from the late 1980's to today actually both academically & professionally), but, I am also impressed with they, as people too...
Why?
One told me a VERY strong & humble point of view. He said:
"Man, you have to understand: WE GREW UP ON THESE MACHINES, you did not... whilst you were in academia, in a way? So were we... & we never stopped & here we are. So, of course, our generation is going to be stronger than yours was, @ the same point of development!"
Which is WHY I am going to FINALLY realize a goal of mine: Which is to FINALLY move to mgt. roles!
(I have a B.S. in Business Admin + a CIS concentration & am moving towards finishing off a CSC B.S. too, the A.A.S. part is done already here though)...
I did that, in addition to spending a GREAT deal of time "in the trenches" as both a coder & network administrator too (gotta know BOTH imo, to lead both types of guys) to guide & lead these talented youngsters, in the VERY NEAR FUTURE for me!
(& hopefully, BETTER than the mgt. I had (largely/mostly, but not ALL, only "MBA" types who haven't even done the job themselves & "walked a mile in a coder's shoes"))
See... I personally couldn't see how companies have folks of that "ilk" even got the job as CIO's & such to be honest (which is the "why" of WHY I spent an extra 16++ yrs. as a dev. to learn how those guys operate & to have "walked MORE than a mile in their shoes").
The money was as good as a coder, especially in the early to late 1990's, so why not? Better myself, as a coder + networker FIRST, so I can make even MORE later, plus, do a better job of it, & have the respect of my subordinates + peers too, AND to make better decisions (without having to depend solely on others, who can mislead OR make mistakes too mind you, & just end up costing more (we've all seen the managers who say "I don't need to know how to do that, I will just hire someone who does" sure, it's not YOUR MONEY AFTER ALL, right, you useless deadweight).
I just hope it works out is all, & this recession now doesn't turn into the "GREATER DEPRESSION" is all... God willing.

P.S.=> Wouldn't surprise me if the young men I mention above actually DO "follow through" & complete such a mission (because it'd make them instant billionaires, overnite, imo @ least)... only 'downside' is? LOL, it'd probably "extinct" the human species (because IF you're a guy that has ANY experience with ladies? You KNOW how "high maintenance" some can be, & the troubles/anguish they can bring, especially IF/WHEN they're truly "hot" (because they can replace you, "just like that", easily)).

Fact is, I have yet to date, in 5++ yrs. of hanging around here, YET to see one with proof of a PHD in anything (not just English), as far as trolls like YOU go & those of your rather "low ilk"...

They possess NOTHING that shows they have a proven mastery of English, yet they think they are the "know it alls" of "how to write" or "what good gramar is" (not that it matters here really - there's no "english grammar section" here troll, nor is this a paper for academia for a grade, & it's certainly NOT a business or legal correspondence either). Above all else on writing, especially for those with or without a degree in English? It's all "beauty in the eye of the beholder", like with resumes!
E.G.-> One H.R. person, or interviewer loves your resume, & keeps it... another may not. It's all purely subjective... same with any form of writing really.

Here's the reason men like me will buy products like this:
In general, Western women are just a pain in the ass to be around.
Western women make absolutely lousy companions. They're typically happy to be going somewhere or doing something she wants to do, but will drag her feet and complain when situation is reversed.
Western women also tend to view men as little more than a human wallet. One need go no further than any "family law" court to prove that this is so, but Western women display this attitude constantly. Try unexpectedly not paying your date's way and see if she goes on another.
Worse, if a man is married and loses his job, the marriage immediately hits the rocks. If he's out of work for long, it's over. "For richer or poorer," my ass.
Oh, and if you haven't noticed, the physical beauty of a woman is in direct proportion to the income of her boyfriend or husband. Frankly, I'm unclear why this isn't anything other than socially-acceptable prostitution.
Western women no longer have any skills that would make them assets as life companions. They microwave food just like men, keep house just like men, and have little skill in raising well-adjusted children. And before you go nuts, realize that I'm not suggesting that a woman's place is in the home. I'm simply pointing out that they no longer have the skills that made them an asset in the past. They're at best a neutral addition to the household; in general, they're just liabilities.
In general, women aren't any fun sexually, as they tend to just lay there. This continues to amaze me in the Internet age: any woman who cares to look will find a multitude of "how-to" guides in the form of porn. There are some exceptions, but in general women do nothing in bed. And I own and use a Hitachi Magic Wand on my lovers, so I won't buy the idea that it's my performance that's at fault. If you can't give a woman orgasms with a Magic Wand, you need to adjust your drool cup.
I'm middle-aged, and I've been waiting for a decent gyndroid (the female version of an android) for about five years. That was when, after a lifetime watching women misbehave, I finally gave up on finding a rational, well-adjusted woman to share my life.
In all seriousness, when you break it down, the disadvantages of having a relationship with a woman far outweigh the advantages. Indeed, Western women have deteriorated so badly that unless you want to procreate, they're nothing but trouble. I already have children and have no desire for more, so what can a woman offer me that a gyndroid can't?
And as to the cost ... well, I don't know the pricing of this particular item, but I've looked at RealDolls and they're very pricey. However, think of it this way:
A man can expect to pay in the vicinity of a hundred bucks for a nice date -- the kind that impresses women and leads them to want to spend more time with you. That's every date. Then there's marriage and the inevitable use of a man's money in amounts that -- over time -- would astound a person.
If a good gyndroid cost $10,000, it would be considerably less than a man spends on a woman when amortized over ten or fifteen years. Frankly, a gyndroid would be a real bargain.
