Novell Bringing .Net Developers To Apple iPad

GMGruman writes "Paul Krill reports that Apple's new iPad could be easier to write apps for, thanks to Novell's MonoTouch development platform, which helps .Net developers create code for the iPad and fully comply with Apple's licensing requirements — without having to use Apple's preferred Objective-C. This news falls on the footsteps of news that Citrix will release an iPad app that lets users run Windows sessions on the iPad. These two developments bolster an argument that the iPad could eventually displace the netbook."

The iPad won't displace the netbook. Because of its price and lack of perennial netbook features, such as a physical keyboard.

Its a pretty bad baby at that. Its a giant itouch without the camera. Thats it. No pen, no tablet like features, a giant I touch. I combines the best of nothing. I can't code on that thing or take notes in a meeting, for that I need a laptop. I can't make phone calls on it an it has NO SD card slot, no cd drive no usb port. Its a web surfing thingy for the trendy retards that will inevitably go out and buy it. Don't get me wrong, its snazzy, even kinda impressive. But not all that useful.

I agree. Every tech news website that I've visited is flooded with articles about the iPad. I do not care about the iPad and am already rather tired of the spam. The only saving grace here is that other news is still flowing (hur hur, iPad, flowing, I'm so clever).

That Anonymous Coward guy is pretty annoying. Can we have the government censor him or something?
