Gizmodo Blows Whistle On 4G iPhone Loser

Stoobalou writes "Not content with its iPhone scoop, Gizmodo has probably ruined the career of a young engineer. The tech blog last night exposed the name of the hapless Apple employee who had one German beer too many and left a prototype iPhone G4 in a California bar some 20 miles from Apple's Infinite Loop campus. Was that really necessary?" It also came out that they paid $5K for the leaked prototype and that Apple wants it back.

Ugh. Gizmodo is not at fault for Powell's impending career woes. He shouldn't have lost a prototype. It's wholly his fault.

Specs and price points get leaked, not actual hardware

Why not? Seems to get them plenty of press coverage.

The iPhone is its big baby

I hope for them the final version is a bit more exciting than this device; the prototype is little more than an enormously overpriced "me too" product.

Man, that analogy wasn't even wrong.

It's more like finding car keys and then selling them..only not keys.

"If you find something that's not yours you are suppose to try and contact the owner and if you can not, give it to the police. "

    Why?

Oh, I found a wallet one with 20 dollars in it and no id. So now I'm a thief?

    You're a moron.

That's today you fagot. Now compare apple to $any_other_company across any period. You sheep get way more exposure than any other company. Mostly because, like religion, you need constant reinforcement of why you bought another shiny toy, rather than evaluating a product on its own merits; plus apple are experts at using paid astroturfers to keep the gay-cult members excited for products that aren't available for several months.

So get back to masturbating on Jobs photos you twat.
