Tabnapping Scams Around the Corner?
scamdetect pointed us to an interesting bit of news about a new security risk called tabnapping that was recently outlined by Aza Raskin. The short story is that background tabs are updated with login forms impersonating the sites they originally contained, but hosted by helpful third parties primarily interested in your password. Quit trolling, man.
The "editors" of slashdot & the moderators here have "done me wrong" a couple times too, and recently no less, when they shut a thread (2 weeks earlier than usual too, no less, when their "crony" named clone53421 (who also stalked me to another website no less afterwards -> http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=1640368&cid=32085128 ) lost a thread to me on a debate on whether Opera or FireFox was more secure (when firefox showed 3 major security vulnerabilities in 1 WEEK, Opera had zero by way of comparison), here -> "Germany warns users against Firefox" here http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=1640368&cid=32111672
I'm not making it a secret that I am supporting you vs. their "draconian measures" either, and as to WHY I am doing it (because it's been done to me here also, albeit per the urls above, in a different way & means to myself, but the point's there!).
Examples? Ok, more of them:
They have recently in the past also attempted to "block me posting", as well as others also (only to find they (moderator Red Flayer here on this site) failed at that as well -> http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=1640368&threshold=-1&commentsort=0&mode=thread&pid=32085128 , lol, because they seem to think everyone uses anon. proxies to skirt their "attempted bans", which they have THAT method covered well, but not others you can use to circumvent their "bans" (or, lol, their attempts at them in suppressing the truth or when their 'favorites/cronies' are losing a technical debate and they close threads early too, how lame)).
Man, bottom-line here, is this: You were done wrong, and you're not the ONLY one who has been (slashdot wasn't ALWAYS like this either, & I've been hanging around here, on & off, for around 7-8 yrs. or so).
This type of behavior on slashdot's part is what I have seen before (been online on the public net since 1994, & far before that in the 1980's for work & academia) - this type of thing signals the EVENTUAL DEATH of a good website, when its mods/owners etc. begin to offend & pull dirty tricks on their users (as well as submitters).
SLASHDOT OWNERS/EDITORS: Review your practices, because you stay in business, by catering to your USERS, not your cronies like Brian Krebs (who has no CISSP, nor even an A.A.S or B.S. (let alone a masters or PHD in the computer sciences such as a degree in CSC, CIS, or MIS (much less a strictly computer security oriented degree either))...
Bottom-line & fact is, this: Brian Krebs? Hey - he's not QUALIFIED IN THIS ART & SCIENCE to be cited over anyone else, period.
He's merely a journallist with a blog (a BLOG no less, & others here stated they won't read anything from bloggers like here:
"Of course you think your blog was better than krebsonsecurity, but personally I almost never click on any link with "blog" in the name, especially from slashdot." - by mcgrew (92797) * on Tuesday May 25, @10:18AM (#32335816) Journal
?
WTF? LOL, Man! Give me, give US ALL, a little break please (that quote of mcgrew's above cracks me up, he is talking about kreb's source & afaik? IT'S A BLOG ONLY TOO!)
Kreb's site IS A MERELY A BLOG (and by an underqualified individual, but at least he doesn't claim to be a "self-proclaimed security guru" though, I will give him that much!)
APK
P.S.=> I mean, lol, do they think they are being "clever" here, altering your post (or shutting threads I was getting the better of their cronies on in tech debate as noted in the URL's above, or attempting to block my ability or that of others to post here)?
Their favorite color must be "TRANSPARENT", because anyone can see right thru it, a
