The South Carolina Primary and Voting Machine Fraud
cSeattleGameboy writes "South Carolina sure knows how to pick 'em. Alvin Greene is a broke, unemployed guy who is facing a felony obscenity charge. He made no campaign appearances and raised no money, but he is the brand new Democratic Senate nominee from South Carolina. Tom Schaller at FiveThirtyEight.com does a detailed analysis of how a guy like this wins a primary race, and many of the signs point to voting machine fraud. There seem to have been irregularities on all sides. 'Dr. Mebane performed second-digit Benford's law tests on the precinct returns from the Senate race. ... If votes are added or subtracted from a candidate's total, possibly due to error or fraud, Mebane's test will detect a deviation from this distribution. Results... showed that Rawl's Election Day vote totals depart from the expected distribution at 90% confidence. In other words, the observed vote pattern for Rawl could be expected to occur only about 10% of the time by chance. ... An unusual, non-random pattern in the precinct-level results suggests tampering, or at least machine malfunction, perhaps at the highest level. And Mebane is perhaps the leading expert on this very subject. Along with the anomalies between absentee ballot v. election day ballots..., something smells here.' Techdirt.com points out that South Carolina uses ES&S voting machines, which have had strings of problems before; and they have no audit trail."
Sounds like Mr. Greene will fit into the Democratic party quite well.
Just like Bush did, amirite? uknowimrite.
Anyone who has seen the post nomination interviews and is honest knows this guy doesn't have the brains to pass a blood test much less successfully run for office.
Bush Jr. was president. Twice.
The South Carolina vote is just a test run for the November election. The goal is to re-elect the left-wing Congress and the only guaranteed way of doing that is to cheat. But it looks like Obama's team needs to tweak its method of cheating.
Fata viam invenient.
This guy obviously is at least naive when it comes to statistics. If the vote distribution would only occur 10% of the time...well this election represents that 10%. Instead this guy is running around saying that if the vote distribution falls into that 10% category then it *couldn't* have been by chance and therefore must be fraud. The moron just contradicted himself.
Democrats are such fools. :)
It's absolutely fucking amazing to me, these scumbag motherfuckers have no problem keeping the vote hidden electronically from the public. (Humans can not see electronic signals)
Until now, NOW someone's finally been elected to piss these treasonous domestic terrorists off. You get a zero budget Marine Vet who swore an oath to protect the Constitution against all enemies.
But the shit ass treasonous fuckers who are driving America off the cliff can't have that.
Look you dumb fucking pro machine domestic terrorists, there's only one way to use electronic vote tabulation devices and know your vote was counted, that's if you give up your transparency, and go into an all out confirmation loop.
example: "did my vote go for x or y? y, no I said x, y? no x. Okay X is confirmed. X confirmed. Thanks.
But before you rotten seeds say, " okay lets give it up " I will remind you the reason transparency was made to be a law in the first place is because dumb motherfuckers like you got wacked for voting against the thugs and tyranny. No dumb motherfuckers like you give up the ENTIRE fucking thing by allowing unauditable, unvalidatable electronic vote tabulation devices.
My God, LOOK THE FUCK AROUND YOU, HOW WELL ARE THESE MACHINES AND OATH BREAKERS WORKING OUT FOR YOU?!
I interpreted PDS as to be the affliction tormenting those who are so deranged as to think that Palin is anything other than an idiot.
Of course it was fraud. In the 1988 elections, I was part of Ballot Security in Charlotte, NC - as authorized by the Mecklenberg Board of Elections. Our job was primarily to stop voter fraud in the black precincts in North Charlotte. Before we started monitoring the black precints in North Charlotte, balck voter participation was extremely high. What was happening was the precinct workers were going out to the bus stop right outside, getting on the bus, most of whose riders were black, asked everyone if they were Democrats, counted noses and then wen inside and and cast straight Democrat ballots. When we started patrolling those precincts, black voter participation went down. We'd show up every few hours just to make sure the machines were working, but mostly we went to let people know we were watching and they better not cheat. I don't doubt for a second that this is what went on in NC this time.
The kind of "idiot" who wants a Democratic candidate that's sure to lose
A Republican.
Greene's or RAWL'S?
Given that absentee and provisional ballots are a lot easier to manipulate, odds are that if there is any fraud it's fraud to help Rawl, not Greene.
Which probably explains why Rawl is pissed - he bought that election fair and square!
How the fuck did your ignorant post get modded interesting? Are slashdotters really this stupid?
That is a bald-faced lie and everyone, including yourself, knows it. Stop being an asshole and stick to the facts instead of trying to say that everything is against the law because some of the stupid shit you like to do is against the law.
Even if one were to be arrested on such a charge, every time it has happened, the charges have been thrown out thanks the the First Amendment.
the obscenity that gets you a permanant record as a sex offender, taking a leak in public such as "Damn I drank too much iced tea, I'll step off this path here and take a leak behind these shrubberies before I piss myself"
Taking a leak in public is not a sex offense anywhere in the United States. Your example is a bald-faced lie.
His obscenity charge stems from showing porn to a college student. Maybe if you had bothered to learn about the controversy you would have known that. Now, how about the facts behind the felony obscenity charges:
Next time, do a little research before spouting off.
There is no "-1 offended" or "-1 you don't agree with me" mod options for a reason.
As a conservative, I agree, the whole SC Democrat primary is a mess during this round. It does seem very suspect.
It's interesting, though, that you try to blame the SC Republicans of racism, when it is the Democrat party that refuses to support their primary elected nominee.
The more I look around and review history, I find that racism is very much a Democrat party issue and Republicans, for the most party, are color blind. I could give a number of references, Woodrow Wilson, but I don't have the time at the moment, so I'll let this article do the talking.
