Cisco To Challenge iPad With Cius 'Business Tablet'

GMGruman and several other readers noted Cisco's announcement of the forthcoming 7-inch Android-based iPad challenger, the Cius, which "... will offer multiple networking capabilities, keyboard and mouse support, and the ability to do videoconferencing. Cisco says it will cost less than $1,000, or about the same as an iPad. The Cius will come with a front-facing high-definition video camera that can record 720p video at 30 frames per second and a 5-megapixel camera at the back that can capture high-quality video and still images. Users will be able to engage in live video calls [most likely via WebEx] when the tablet is docked or being held. Some units will be available this fall, though general availability is not expected until early 2011."

What? You are aware you can download apps, or write your own?

This is a huge boon for businesses of all kinds. Since you were so secretive in what you do (you imaginary business, no doubt), can't point to specfic examples, but here are some other examples:

    Restaurant ordering.
Stock tracking for use on shop floors.
Real estate information for selling houses (what we use it for).
    endless number of other uses.

Either you are too thick to see how this could be useful, or you are just talking shit.

Sure, it ain't perfect, but it is incredibly useful, and at an amazing price.

No, you suck, because you have close to no idea what you're on about.

As someone who spends a large amount of time working in an ER, here's a hint, for one: what happens when you spill blood or vomit on your shiny iPad? Or how's that keyboard going to be for lots of writing of records (don't say Bluetooth keyboard - medical equipment doesn't get certified to use Bluetooth)?

Wow. "OMG, my shiny iPad can zoom in and out of a picture easily! It MUST be perfect for in-ward use in electronic medical records and management! Anyone who says it isn't just writes shitty software!"

This is why people hate fanbois.

So paper records are SOOOO much better for medical records, yah?
I'm sure bloody vomit does nothing to paper.

Bluetooth will work just fine (approved since 2008!). Even an ECG. You're just an ignorant ass.

Also, you're the type of person that fanbois LOVE to wind up. Cause your response is so douchebaggy.
