ARM Readies Cores For 64-Bit Computing
snydeq writes "ARM Holdings will unveil new plans for processing cores that support 64-bit computing within the next few weeks, and has already shown samples at private viewings, InfoWorld reports. ARM's move to put out a 64-bit processing core will give its partners more options to design products for more markets, including servers, the source said. The next ARM Cortex processor to be unveiled will support 64-bit computing. An announcement of the processor could come as early as next week, and may provide further evidence of a collision course with Intel."
So what did you run that ran out of memory?
OK nothing, so what did somebody you heard of run that ran out of memory?
Still nothing, so what were you thinking of running that probably would run out of memory if you did it and why would you want to run it on your phone with awkward input and a small display compared to a PC?
You have nothing!
Your turn, tell me the above is wrong and tell me why with an example instead of mindless handwaving.
IMHO the inputs and outputs dictated by the form factor limit it more than the memory. It's hard to use it like a desktop computer so people don't run video editing applications or CAD programs on the thing.
