Lingerie Company Recycles Bras Into Insulation
fangmcgee writes "Leave it to an Italian intimates company to trade one kind of stuffing for another: by recycling used bras into soundproof building insulation. To acquire a sizable stash of unmentionables, Intimissimi launched a six-week multimedia campaign to encourage women to drop off their used bras at its stores across Italy. Plus, every customer who brought in a bra received €3 ($4) towards the purchase of a new one — just in case Russian model Irina Shayk's entreaties to 'help save the planet' weren't convincing enough."
It's better than "burning your bra" I suppose.
So, attention ladies ... I just need you to drop off your panties to me. It's for, um, environmental research. Yes, that's it, environmental research into, um, recycling. Yes, recycling, that's right.
I require massive amounts of women's panties for research into, er, recycling. Don't launder them, that parts is vital, I need them to be as "natural" as possible ... yeah, it's all part of the, er, research.
The ones you're wearing right now will be just fine ... do you need some assistance? It's our pleasure ... all in the name of, um, research. All for the environment you know. We must recycle.
It's all for the planet you see. Although, it might take years for our, um, research to yield tangible results we can share. But, I promise you, your panties will be used in the service of, er, scientific research. Yes, that's it. Science.
Now, who's first? Step right this way.
