Voting Opens For Mozilla Labs Web Gaming Competition
nikanth writes "Voting is now open for Game On 2010, Mozilla Labs' first international gaming competition. Game On is all about games built, delivered and played on the open Web and the browser. Out of the 160+ submissions to the first competition, 124 games have been selected to be showcased in the Game On Gallery.'"
I made a game for this, but it's not in the gallery :'(
Pretty good is actually pretty bad.
I just tried a few. It is worth a look around. Warning: There did seem to be a lot of glitches in the house. Experimental labs and all that...
Waiting for the other shoe to...
Hmmm, HTML5 games or HTML-F5 game, what with their servers seemingly hammered...
You can play games being hosted on Mozilla Labs or author's own server.
The games usually execute Javascript so run on your local machine, but the servers are still being hammered heavily on bandwidth.
I guess that's what you get for giving to community - a massive bandwitdth bill :)
It's important to know that these games have been designed to work with the upcoming Firefox 4 and some use web tech that isn't in stables right now - in particular WebGL.
More HTML5 games, and videos of them at:

Now that was fast. Also shame these games won't run on most smartphones because of canvas. So much for open web standards (and don't get me wrong, I love them)
Why bother being vague with the numbers in a case like this? Just say 124 out of 161, already! So they had around 40 games with penises they wanted to cull. It's not like this was a major culling of the herd.
Or keep it and say "more than 123 games" to be consistent...
doesn't seem to include one of my favourites - "evil cult" :)

Rich
100+ million users as of today. wow.
And, Flash is standard.
All the slashdotters have looked at the amateurish submissions and are busy writing their own javascript games to cash in on the free publicity.
How many more years will slashdot have an off-by-one error on your Score in your profile?
