That's what you insecure people always think. A lot of us just find it a lot easier to do what we have to do from the CLI because it's often the most powerful way to do the job, offering the best control, etc. I hate it when people say stupid things like, "oh you think you're so smart". Truly, I wish I was so smart I could be at risk of being arrogant about it! No, I do not think I'm particularly smarter than people who need kde, gnome, or whatever. I just like my system to be fast, responsive, and appropriate to my needs, and I've had the luxury of time to invest in learning how to really go for that. It's easy for me now, I can do it in my sleep (and sometimes do) .
So give the "you think you're so smart" bullshit a rest. If anything, you probably think you're so stupid, and you can't stand it so you 're just lashing out at anyone you fear may be smarter than you.
