Chaos Communication Congress Releases Talks

First time accepted submitter jehan60188 writes with this excerpt from an article from Hack a Day: "The 28th Annual Chaos Communication Congress just wrapped things up on December 31st and they've already published recordings of all the talks at the event. These talks were live-streamed, but if you didn't find time in your schedule to see all that you wanted, you'll be happy to find your way to the YouTube collection of the event. The topics span a surprising range. We were surprised to see a panel discussion on depression and suicide among geeks ... which joins another panel called Queer Geeks, to address some social issues rather than just hardcore security tech. But there's plenty of that as well with topics on cryptography, security within web applications, and also a segment on electronic currencies like Bitcoins.'" The CCC wiki has a list of mirrors with downloads in multiple formats (including WebM).

    The 28C3 ended on December 30th (not 31st), and the Recordings have been available for Days already.

    I highly recommend the Atari 2600 talk, it was interesting and fun. Any other recommendations?

      Well, if you understand German, I highly recommend the "Fnord Jahresrückblick" (or Fnord News Show).

      And of course watch the Hacker Jeopardy!

      attacks on TOR talk was really interesting and i recommend hash collision attacks talk ("Effective Denial of Service ...")

      Karsten Nohl's talk Defending Mobile phones is excellent as usual. Other good talks are Hacking MFPs and Print Me If You Dare

      We actually live-translated that and the translated talk is also available as 28c3-4936-en-fnord_jahresrueckblick_h264.mp4, so you don't have to know German to enjoy it :)

      I can tell you to not watch "Quantum of science"
      I tried to watch it and gave up mid-video because I don't think I ever saw a more confusing talk.

      If you find the topic interesting, I would recommend "Cellular protocol stacks for Internet"
      Like the summary says, it's meant as an introduction to those who are not familiar with all these barbarians mobile phone protocols.
