Ask Slashdot: Best File System For Web Hosting?

An anonymous reader writes "I'm hoping for a discussion about the best file system for a web hosting server. The server would serve as mail, database, and web hosting. Running CPanel. Likely CentOS. I was thinking that most hosts use ext3 but with of the reading/writing to log files, a constant flow of email in and out, not to mention all of the DB reads/writes, I'm wondering if there is a more effective FS. What do you fine folks think?"

ZFS. All of the Linux filesystems are junky and will eventually corrupt all your data. Choose a real OS like Solaris, AIX or HP-UX if you want a real reliability and durability not just a cobbled together hobbyist OS. Hell even OS X Server would be more reliable than Linux junk.

A woman died in a tragic murder and you make a stupid sick joke about it. Yes, her hubby was famous in these circles. That doesn't really erase the fact that it isn't funny to make a joke of such a tragedy. Just an opinion you can ignore...
