Microsoft Attempts to Woo Students With 'Crowdsourced' Laptops

GeekWire reports that Microsoft is touting its new Chip In program, a crowdfunding platform that allows students to 'beg' for select Windows 8 PCs and tablets that they can't afford on their own. Blair Hanley Frank explains, 'Students go to the Chip In website and choose one of the 20 computers and tablets that have been pre-selected by Microsoft. Microsoft chips in 10% of the price right off the bat, and then students are given a link to a "giving page" to send out to anyone they think might give them money. Once their computer is fully funded, Microsoft ships it to them.' Hey, what could go wrong?"

If his kernel is so damned shitty that it takes a half a dozen releases or MORE to fix his messes? maybe he should become a chef, maybe a dry cleaner, because he sure as hell don't need that job.

What is sad is so many of you have sucked down so damned much koolaid Linus can do whatever he wants and you will NEVER question it, not even a little. Not once have I seen a single one of you ask why? Why does Linux need a half a dozen kernels a year when BSD, Solaris, OSX, none of those need a half a dozen kernels a year? and from what I've been told their drivers don't get shit on by kernel changes either, why hasn't anybody asked old Linus about that?

I'll tell ya why, because thought isn't allowed in that camp anymore, its no different than the God damned political parties where you wave your little flag and STFU and take what you are given. Well i'm not waving anybody's flags, I want answers. if the other guy is sooo bad how come HE can do it and you can't, hmmm? why can my friend go through 3 Apple upgrades and ALL of HIS drivers work, i take take 7 year old drivers and run them in the latest Windows just fine, but Linus can't even keep his shit together long enough to allow 2 year old drivers to work, hmmm? if he is such a God damned genius why does he have the shittiest driver interface, that just FYI but NOBODY uses but him, and which hasn't changed in ages?

I'm sorry but bullshit is bullshit, its a kernel not fucking bread, no need to rush it out for "freshness" here. if he can't keep his shit together and bring enough QC that a kernel can't even last 24 months? get another damned job Torvalds.
