How Gen Y Should Talk To Old People At Work

But it's a two-way street, and those born in the '80s and later could also use a lesson on how to best communicate with older co-workers, who after all will determine their promotion and pay raises for the foreseeable future. Advice includes: make actual phone calls, mirror the level of formality your co-workers use in e-mails, and for Pete's sake don't ask them things like 'R U going?' in a non-texting medium."
What happened was that I was banned from posting while logged-in, permanently it seems, almost immedately after my last post in March of last year.
I'm guessing because comments I made that were modded up just happened to be offensive to advertisers, blacks, homosexuals, Jews, and Pokemon-players; all of which have a much more important stake here than I do. Hopefully the old-heads here didn't forget that I was an extremely high-scoring poster who occasionally thought it fun to trash his own karma. Call them delusions of grandeur, but I think a lot of the "advancements" in Slashdot 2.0, like the institutional forum-sliding design and public opinion now mysteriously against anonymous cowards rather in favor of them, were implemented thanks to the trolling of myself and the others, who I still love. In fact, all it takes is seeing one nigger joke to make me smile and brighten my day. What irritates me is when people ask why I post anonymously and sign my posts. It's because I can't fucking post under my username, dumbass!
