Celebrating Dungeons & Dragons' 40th Anniversary
disconj writes "With the 40th anniversary of the release of Dungeons & Dragons coming up this weekend, the Internet is ablaze with reflections on its legacy. Dave Ewalt gives an intro for the uninitiated.
Ethan Gilsdorf explains how 'all I need to know about life I learned from Dungeons & Dragons'. Finally, Jon Peterson presents a video show-and-tell of rare artifacts from D&D's development." The real question is how many characters have you lost in Tomb of Horrors?

That of course is the worst book, telling you to subdue or kill unbelievers, kill anyone who leaves Islam, etc. This is where someone usually says that all religious books are the same, but I suggest you read them and see:
Kill anyone who leaves your religion: Qur'an
Kill anyone who leaves your religion and tries to persuade others to do the same : Qur'an, Bible (Old testamen)
Impose punitive tax on non-believers: Qur'an
Forbid non believers from worshiping in the open: Qur'an
Forbid non believers from repairing or building places of worship: Qur'an
Forbid non believers to wear or display religious symbols in public: Qur'an
Not allow non-believers to testify against believers in court : Qur'an
Kill any non-believers who refuse to live by all the above rules : Qur'an
None of the above: Bhagavad gita, Tipitaka, Tao Te Ching
