Combating Recent, Ugly Incidents of Misogyny In Gamer Culture
ideonexus writes: 2490 gamers, developers and journalists have signed an open letter supporting inclusiveness in the gaming community after indie game developer Zoe Quinn received backlash and harassment when her ex-boyfriend posted false accusations that she traded sex for favorable reviews of her game and feminist critic Anita Sarkeesian was driven from her home after receiving death and rape threats for her videos illustrating the way some mainstream games encourage the commoditization of and violence against women. The harassment has prompted geek-dating advice columnist Harris O'Malley to declare the backlash the "Extinction Burst of Gaming Culture," the last reactionary gasp before the culture shifts to become more inclusive.
Of course geeks are misogynistic, they think so highly of their intelligence that when they get shot down by women due to their poor social skills, they think it's the womans' fault. They also hate gays because they get more action and have an easier time interacting with both genders.

She is talking about the gaming culture; which is in a horrid state for women right now. perhaps you should stop whining and try to understand women get a lot of harrassment from the gaming community. And ant just kids calling them names in a MMORPG chat.

Look, misogynists definitely exist, and if you even briefly consider defending what happened to this two women, you are one. No amount of personal disagreement with their views(or affairs) would justify it. None.
Having agreed with her boyfriend that part of informed consent requires sexual fidelity, she proceeded to sleep around. When she subsequently fucked her boyfriend it was therefore without his informed consent, and thus -- by modern SJW standards -- rape.

Do you just need to stop her from pointing out rather obvious things about the video game industry that much? Like you're being hurt by her videos?

1. Chivalry was actual a battle code, and had little to do with women 2. What you're talking about is "courtship" a set of rules, written by women, about how men are supposed to act around them to gain their favor (favor defined as vaginas) 3. "courtship" was an unwritten social contract for BOTH sexes. Ergo a man acted like a gentleman to win the favor of a lady. HOWEVER, it required women to ACT LIKE A GODDAMN LADY. 4. Acting like a goddamn lady includes not taking nude selfies, not being a slut, and realizing that you're not a man's equal and you need his protection because he possesses, at all times, the physical capability to take what he wants from you (yes, rape). 5. Modern, slutty, women have broken this social contract by virtue (or lack therefore) of their sluttiness, and push for equality. Therefore men are no longer beholden to it. So where are the chivalrous men? They're lying atop the dustbin of history. Although, sadly, their are some idiots who still hold to their half of the bargain while women REFUSE to hold to theirs. We call these men betas. They're so pathetically ego-invested in chivalry that they can't see that it's null and void. Sounds like your'e one of them...or you're a lady who desperately wants men to hold their half of the bargain up because it's hella-advantegeous to you.
