iPhone 6 Sales Crush Means Late-Night Waits For Some Early Adopters

Even after the months of hype and speculation, the behind-the-scenes development and manufacture, and then the announcement Tuesday, it seems Apple's servers weren't quite ready for the workout they got from would-be early adopters of its newest iPhone. Preorders through Verizon Wireless and AT&T largely started without a hitch at midnight, though some customers on Twitter have since complained about issues. Those problems were nothing compared to the issues experienced by Sprint and T-Mobile customers. The Sprint and T-Mobile sites were still down for many users nearly two hours after presales were slated to start. Access to Sprint's site faded in and out, while the T-Mobile site continued to display a form to register for a reminder for when the preorders began. Some people joked on Twitter that they "might as well wait for the iPhone 6S now." Apple's store itself was down for a few hours, too.

Of course, the Fandroids will attribute this to "Apple fanboyism", and the wheel goes round and round.

    Fist Prost, BTW.

lol @ the idea of anyone buying a Nexus.

Sorry Mr. Google Employee, Android phones have a terrible, clunky user interface, and do nothing that iPhones can't do, with the bonus that they also have a better curation of apps in the app store.

The worst part about the Google system is that anyone can write an app for them, and it doesn't go through a professional editing process.

Google doesn't know that people pay big money so editors can filter out the junk for them. Nobody wants to enable a democratic system of app developers, since most developers are untalented and should not be in the business, regardless of what they think of themselves. We pay editors to tell them that these developers suck and should not be doing what they want to do. Maybe they should get into real-estate or something else instead.

No you didn't. I mean it is a neat story, but it's not true. If you told me that in an interview or even a discussion I woiuld have just hung up on you. Any problems at all with the antenna were completely eliminated with a headset. If you can be bothered to use the free headset that came with your phone for a business call, I certainly would not want you working for me.

And it's basically a two year old Nexus4.
