Robot Arm Will Install New Earth-Facing Cameras On Space Station

SternisheFan writes Canada's robotic Canadarm2 will install the next two Urthecast cameras on the International Space Station, removing the need for astronauts to go outside to do the work themselves. Urthecast plans to place two Earth-facing cameras on the United States side of the station (on Node 3) to add to the two they already have on the Russian Zvezda module. Technical problems with the cameras forced the Russians to do an extra spacewalk to complete the work earlier this year.

The new version is biofuel-powered: it runs on space-grade maple syrup. So there's progress to be proud of!

Google Earth 10.0 coming. Pretty soon, you'll be able to just type the name of whoever you want into Google search, proprietary backend systems will identify their GPS coordinates using the Android secret location tracking feature, then the Earthcam will be pointed and zoom in on their current position, until their head is visible, and put them on a map with real-time position updating

Everybody knows space is full of ether so they are obviously "Ethercast cameras".

I'm pretty sure that it will involve the use of Dextre, the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM) on the end of Canadarm2. Dextre, sometimes called the Canada Hand is the most sophisticated space robot ever built. http://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/i... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D...

Is that actually based on some real language, or is just another deliberate sickly misspelling?
