Buggy Win 95 Code Almost Wrecked Stuxnet Campaign
mask.of.sanity writes: Super-worm Stuxnet could have blown its cover and failed its sabotage mission due to a bug that allowed it to spread to ancient Windows boxes, malware analysts say. Stuxnet was on the brink of failure thanks to buggy code allowing it to spread to PCs running older and unsupported versions of Windows, and probably causing them to crash as a result. Those blue screens of death would have raised suspicions at the Natanz nuclear lab.
Exactly. This sounds like a lame attempt to distract from the real problem which is Microsoft garbage. Microsoft goes to great lengths to censor stories about their problems. My old roommate was fired for not lying to the FBI about one of the many thousands of Microsoft bugs. Microsoft requires their employees to lie to the FBI. That is how dishonest their kind is. They hate the fact that more and more people are calling them on the problems they create. That is why they got rid of most of the Windows QA. They don't want anyone in the company to know just how bad their garbage is. I lost my job for reporting too many bugs. They hate me.
