Satoru Iwata, Head of Nintendo, Has Died At 55

An anonymous reader with the news, announced with a statement released by Nintendo on their homepage, that Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata died of a bile duct growth on the 11th of July, 2015. The news is noted by Kotaku and by Engadget. Wikipedia notes that Iwata was the first of the company's presidents to be unrelated to the Yamauchi family through blood or marriage.

    God job editors, don't try to fill in any useful information lest you set standards you can never again keep.

    I know that the summary was three whole sentences, but you should really try reading it sometime. Or maybe even the headline. It helps having a rudimentary grasp of the English language. Summarizing the summary for you, Satoru Iwata (president of Nintendo (a Japanese company currently known for producing video games), died (ceased living) of bile duct (used to carry bile from the liver to the stomach to aid digestion) cancer (a disease characterized by abnormal cell growth).
