Judge: Defendant 'Had a Right' To Shoot Down Drone (wdrb.com)

EzInKy writes: Back in July, Kentucky resident William Merideth was arrested after he shot down a drone flying near his property. The arrest wasn't because of the destroyed drone, but because Merideth fired a gun within the city limits. Now, after a two-hour hearing in Bullitt District Court, a judge has dismissed all charges against Merideth. The owner of the drone, David Boggs, has always contested Merideth's claim that it was hovering over his yard. "But Judge Rebecca Ward says that since at least two witnesses could see the drone below the tree line, it was an invasion of privacy." Ward further said that Merideth "had a right to shoot at this drone."

People like you are why a law making it illegal to yell, "fire!"

And ACs like you aren't worth shit, grow some balls and get some manners then we can talk. Even a moron can see the benefits of clarity in laws and appreciate that it has fuck all to do with a kid and a pop tart. If I had a gun and any willingness to use it I'd want to have a decent idea of whether what I was doing was legal or not, having to estimate whether my life will or won't be ruined by the the police, jury etc own definition of what some generic reason-ability clause means isn't cool.

Redneck's wife decline to press charges against her husband, stating "Wilber isn't too bad a man when he isn't on the moonshine and I need him working to help feed our 6 kids." Redneck was released from jail on charges of shootin' Busybody as Redneck was on his own property defending his privacy.
