Why Electronic Health Records Aren't More Usable (cio.com)
itwbennett writes: There are plenty of things wrong with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), writes Ken Terry. Among them: 'The records are hard to read because they're full of irrelevant boilerplates..., [a]lerts frequently fire for inconsequential reasons..., and EHRs from different vendors are not interoperable with each other.' But those are all just symptoms of the underlying (and unsurprising) problem: '[T]hey are designed to support billing more than patient care.' A recent study (login required) found that, of 41 EHR vendors that released public reports, fewer than half used an industry-standard user-centered design process. This despite a requirement by The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT that developers perform usability tests as part of a certification process that makes their EHRs eligible for the government's EHR incentive program.
and when the GOP get's there way there use will go up as watson uses them to black list people when the pre ex rule is gone.
What an hour diotic statement! Capitalism is private ownership and operation of property. This is not about capitalism, this is about lack of freedom - central planning and oppression of the individual by the collective. The OP is feeling the oppression by the government and cannot do anything about it not because of capitalism but very specifically but cause of usurpation of power by the government. In the USA there is such a thing as 'Constitution' and it enumerates the power of the State. It does not enumerate the power to force a citizen to buy a product or a service. It does not enumerate the power to mandate anything from individuals or their businesses even! Yet all of this is happening because people are morons and will vote for any collectivist who promises to steal from those with more money and to give to them. But this theft cannot pass the Constitutionally enumerated powers of the government, so judges and politicians work together to declare it Constitutional and politicians push laws that the mob voted them on creating the precedent. A few cases and laws later and government can dictate anything to anybody and the Constitution is out the window and the mob cheers for it.
Of course at the end the freedoms are destroyed and some moron complains about capitalism.
You can't handle the truth.
the problem is that Obamacare lost its public option because Republicans are stupid.
For this to be true, you would be able to point out the republican that voted for it when they removed the public option. You can't, and know your statement is false.
The rest of your rant is false as well for same reason. It was written by DNC, passed by the DNC, implemented by the DNC, there is 0% input from the GOP (actually 1 sentence was by the GOP, but Obama deemed it not in there by "executive action" illegally)
Mandated Anti-Viruses that cause more damage/harm than they fix. Why, because we'll kill 20 kids instead of letting 5 kids die because they got sick (Meningitis vaccine). Because we Vaccinate everyone for something that only affects a small percentage of the population, but the vaccine has a known failure rate that if you vaccinate everyone, harms more people than the actual disease does.
Yeah, you're all for mandated vaccines, it doesn't matter the relative efficacy.
Agent K: A *person* is smart. People are dumb, stupid, panicky animals, and you know it.
